Baseball Recap: Sierra Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sierra extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 20-6. They never let the Liberty Hawks get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Cirrus Rose made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Rose was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Young, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Zach Lloyd, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Sierra kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

As for Liberty, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-14 record. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in February.

On Liberty's side, Anthony Gaitan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits.

On the hitting side, Liberty saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Groh, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double.

Sierra will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
