Basketball Recap: St. Martinville Comes Up Short

St. Martinville suffered their biggest loss since January 3, 2024 on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Cecilia Bulldogs and fell 71-36. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Martinville's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyren Syon, who posted eight points. Raytyrion Narcisse was another key player, putting up seven points.

St. Martinville's loss dropped their record down to 15-18. As for Cecilia, they pushed their record up to 19-16 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, St. Martinville will face off against Bossier at 6:30 p.m. on February 28th. Bossier will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something St. Martinville surely won't give up without a fight. Cecilia has already played their next match (against Eunice), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
