Basketball Recap: Cyril Comes Up Short

Cyril lost against Seiling back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cyril Pirates took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seiling Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Wildcats are ranked eighth).

Cyril's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Seiling, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Cyril will face off against Hammon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Seiling, they will square off against Cheyenne/Reydon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
