Calvert entered their tilt with Mohawk on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Senecas, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Logan Ritzler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Calvert's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Kidwell, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Kidwell a new career-high.

Calvert pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mohawk, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.

Coming up, Calvert will be playing at home against Cardinal Stritch at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mohawk, they will head out to face off against Elmwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 2.8, the Royals 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
