Baseball Game Preview: West Limestone Wildcats vs. Hackleburg Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as West Limestone Wildcats face off against Hackleburg Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, West Limestone turned things around against Lexington on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Golden Bears.

Meanwhile, Hackleburg came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Red Raiders 10-4. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Hackleburg pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for West Limestone, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
