Lena-Winslow had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They blew past the Durand/Pecatonica Rivermen 40-20. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Durand/Pecatonica lost, don't look at Lukas Rossow. Despite the final result, he threw for 115 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 94 yards. The Rivermen's leading receiver Cooper Hamilton was Rossow's top target yet again, picking up 63 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Lena-Winslow's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Durand/Pecatonica, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.
