Basketball Recap: Sandpoint Find Success

Sandpoint won the last time they faced West Valley, and Brecken Mire did her part to make sure it happened again. The Sandpoint Bulldogs put the hurt on the West Valley Eagles with a sharp 54-31 victory on Monday thanks in part to Mire, who posted 15 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. That's the most boards she has posted since back in January.

Sandpoint's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for West Valley, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandpoint will host University at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Valley, they will be playing at home against Riverside at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Valley is facing Riverside at the right time seeing as Riverside is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
