Basketball Recap: Window Rock Takes a Loss

Window Rock was the 46-42 winner over Monument Valley when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Window Rock Fighting Scouts fell to the Monument Valley Mustangs 58-53.

Despite the loss, Window Rock still got an impressive performance from Jaylen Brown, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 19 points and three steals. Brown has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaacc Hickson, who posted six points.

Window Rock has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.9 points per game. As for Monument Valley, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Window Rock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-52 loss against Chinle on the 21st. As for Monument Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-25 victory against Ganado on the 21st.
