Football Game Preview: Catoosa Indians vs. Miami Wardogs

The Catoosa Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Miami Wardogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Catoosa is looking for their season's first victory.

Catoosa is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Fort Gibson on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Indians took a blow against the Tigers, falling 49-14. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-0.

Although Catoosa took the loss, they still got scores from Devin Johnson and Fredrick Brown.

Meanwhile, Miami had to suffer through a 34-7 loss at the hands of Cushing. While losing is never fun, the Wardogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Tigers are ranked 26th).

Catoosa's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Miami, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Catoosa suffered a grim 21-0 defeat to Miami in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Indians, Khyler Walker (who rushed for 149 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 35 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
