Erwin proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Brevard Blue Devils 2-1. The victory was nothing new for Erwin as they're now sitting on five straight.

Juan Argueta and Brayan Martinez-Cruz scored both of Erwin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Erwin's win bumped their record up to 5-0-1. As for Brevard, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Erwin will square off against Tuscola at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Erwin will be up against Tuscola's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Brevard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hibriten at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
