Basketball Recap: W.S. Neal Comes Up Short

W.S. Neal won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 55-23 defeat at the hands of the Thomasville Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Tigers are ranked 176th).

W.S. Neal has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Thomasville, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5.

W.S. Neal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-26 loss against Central on the 6th. Thomasville has also already played their next match, a 54-44 victory against Clarke County on the 4th.
