Lakes won the last time they faced North Chicago and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Warhawks by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lakes was: they took both sets by at least 19 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-6.

Lakes' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashley Friel, who had three digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Friel a new career-high. Maddie Lage was another key player, getting five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Lakes was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Lakes is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for North Chicago, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
