Baseball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Peru's Winning Streak

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Peru finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell 5-0 to the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

With the loss, Peru broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-9. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Peru will be playing at home against Warsaw at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Warsaw will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Peru surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they will face off against Rensselaer Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
