Soccer Game Preview: Celina vs. Davenport

The Celina Bobcats will challenge the Davenport Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Celina is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 24 games.

Celina is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Life Waxahachie get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Celina might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 24 matches by three goals or more this season.

Taylor McMillan and Hannah Holland scored all three of Celina's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 47 goals.

Meanwhile, Davenport waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Eagles. Given Davenport's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Salado are ranked 203rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Celina's win bumped their record up to 27-1. As for Davenport, their victory bumped their record up to 21-2-1.
