Baseball Recap: Clinton Central Comes Up Short

Clinton Central fell victim to Clinton Prairie and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to the Gophers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gophers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Clinton Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Boone, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Clinton Central has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Clinton Prairie, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton Central will head out to face off against Frontier at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton Prairie, they will venture away from home to take on North Montgomery at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
