Basic waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bishop Gorman Gaels. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Elias Ramos paced Basic's offense, picking up six kills. Ramos got some help from Kevin Millano and his 12 assists. Millano also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Tyrus Worley, each putting up two.

Basic's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Bishop Gorman, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Basic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Virgin Valley on the 28th. As for Bishop Gorman, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Las Vegas on the 28th.
