Concord Academy faced Southern School of Energy and Sustainability in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 80-79 to the Spartans. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keyonee Terry, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. The game was Terry's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Morman, who shot 57% from the field to rack up 23 points and seven assists.
