Softball Game Preview: Lake Worth Bullfrogs vs. Springtown Porcupines

Lake Worth is 0-10 against Springtown since March of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Bullfrogs will head out on the road to challenge the Porcupines at 7:00 p.m. Lake Worth has given up an average of 13.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lake Worth is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 19-0 to Eagle Mountain, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Springtown suffered their biggest defeat since April 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Burkburnett, falling 10-3.

Reiss DeLaFuente made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Springtown's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7. As for Lake Worth, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Lake Worth suffered a grim 19-1 defeat to Springtown in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bullfrogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
