Football Game Preview: Dickson County Cougars vs. Lawrence County Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Dickson County Cougars will square off against the Lawrence County Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dickson County will be strutting in after a win while Lawrence County will be coming in after a defeat.

Dickson County took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Spring Hill by a score of 24-17.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats two weeks ago. Lawrence County lost to Tullahoma at home by a 28-14 margin. The matchup marked Lawrence County's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dickson County will have to contain Carter Pettigrew as he made an impact in Lawrence County's last game. He rushed for 180 yards and one TD. Pettigrew's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 146 rushing yards.

Dickson County's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Lawrence County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Dickson County couldn't quite finish off Lawrence County in their previous matchup back in October of 2018 and fell 6-3. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
