Recap: Rowland Hall Winged Lions vs. American Prep WV Eagles
The Rowland Hall Winged Lions pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-64 to American Prep WV. Rowland Hall has struggled against American Prep WV recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Rowland Hall still got an impressive performance from Yeshi Tsering, who scored 29 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tsering has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Brady, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
It was another big night for Komy Ocwor, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds for American Prep WV. Ocwor is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Peter Hakim, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Rowland Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for American Prep WV, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Rowland Hall will head out on the road to challenge Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waterford will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. American Prep WV will take on Rockwell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rockwell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully American Prep WV likes a good challenge.
