Volleyball Recap: Pipestem Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Summit Christian Academy on Friday, Pipestem Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Victory Baptist Academy Saints on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Victory Baptist Academy scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Pipestem Christian Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Victory Baptist Academy, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

Looking ahead, Pipestem Christian Academy will take on Grace Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Teays Valley Christian on the 7th.
