Softball Recap: Mallard Creek Comes Up Short

Mallard Creek lost against Hopewell back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mavericks came up short against the Titans, falling 14-3. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mallard Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Lampkin, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Mallard Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Hopewell, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mallard Creek will challenge Cox Mill at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mavericks are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hopewell, they will take on Mooresville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
