It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nicholas County can now relate to. They lost 16-5 to the Sissonville Indians on Tuesday. The Grizzlies' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Maddie Burns and Aubrey Clark stepped up to the plate in a big way. Burns went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Clark went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Hanshaw, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Nicholas County now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Sissonville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-15.

Nicholas County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sissonville, they will challenge Hoover at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
