Baseball Recap: Nicolet Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Bend East on Friday, Nicolet came back down to earth. The Knights took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pewaukee Pirates on Saturday.

Hayden Konczal made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Will Sargent was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Nicolet's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Pewaukee, their record is now 17-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nicolet will welcome Slinger at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pewaukee, they will host Pius XI Catholic at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
