Nixa had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Willard Tigers a 2-0 shutout. Nixa's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Nixa's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Willard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nixa will welcome Carthage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Willard, they will host Waynesville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Waynesville will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Willard surely won't give up without a fight.
