King's Academy entered their tilt with Silverdale Academy on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Silverdale Academy Seahawks 42-39. The 42-point effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Despite the defeat, Silverdale Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jake McGhee posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Burger, who scored seven points.

King's Academy pushed their record up to 10-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Silverdale Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

King's Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Grace Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Silverdale Academy, they will square off against Bradley Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Bradley Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
