Baseball Recap: Wenatchee's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Wenatchee can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ephrata Tigers a 15-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Nolan Godfrey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, James Butler was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Matthew Butler, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

The win got Wenatchee back to even at 1-1. As for Ephrata, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Wenatchee Panthers take on Eastmont Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Ephrata, they will be playing at home against Aberdeen at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
