Lake Zurich waltzed into their match on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Huntley Red Raiders. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 5-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lake Zurich's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Huntley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-14.

Looking ahead, Lake Zurich will host Stevenson at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Huntley, they will venture away from home to challenge Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
