Football Game Preview: Aberdeen Eagles vs. Bel Air Bobcats

The Aberdeen Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Bel Air Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aberdeen has given up an average of 30 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Aberdeen is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 57-50 to Fallston on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Aberdeen might have lost, but man, Collin Rogers was a machine: he rushed for 259 yards and six scores while picking up 10.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 150 yards on 13 of 23 attempts. Thanks to that big game, Rogers is now up to 9 rushing touchdowns on the season. Cameron Durbin was another key player, gaining 242 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Bel Air was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 20-14 to Joppatowne.

Aberdeen will have to contain John Johnson as he made an impact in Bel Air's last game. He rushed for 92 yards and one TD.

Aberdeen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bel Air, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

It's a different story for Bel Air, though, as they've been averaging only 181.5 total yards. Will Aberdeen be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Bobcats flip the script?
