            The Battle Mountain Huskies will venture away from home to  face off against the Skyline Falcons  at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Battle Mountain has five straight  victories, Skyline has eight straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Last Thursday, Battle Mountain beat Steamboat Springs 34-25.

Battle Mountain can attribute much of their success to   Elle Glendining, who  dropped  a double-double on 13  points and ten  boards, and   Izzy Kovacik, who  posted seven points in addition to ten  rebounds and six  assists. The dominant performance also gave  Glendining a new career-high in  blocks (six). Another player making a difference was  Akeliah Hancock, who  had six  points.
 Battle Mountain  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 11  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive boards in five consecutive  matchups.
 Meanwhile,  Skyline played a tough  game  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a   47-17 loss at the hands of Longmont. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  32-2.
 Battle Mountain's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
