Baseball Recap: South Summit Wildcats vs. Ben Lomond Scots

South Summit won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They lost 11-5 to the Ben Lomond Scots. South Summit was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ben Lomond apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Tuesday.

For Ben Lomond's part, Max Doss and Kaysen Reeves were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Doss struck out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Meanwhile, Reeves pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Doss scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Reeves got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two RBI.

In other batting news, Semaj Rodriguez was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Cade Becraft was another key contributor, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
