Football Recap: Cypress Park Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cypress Park lost against Langham Creek back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers were beaten by the Lobos 55-7. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 811th, while the Lobos are ranked 218th).

Nicholas Williams threw for 101 yards and one TD. Brandon Sensente was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards. On the ground, Ja'Harvey Johnson rushed for 74 yards.

Langham Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jace Williams out in front who rushed for 40 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dion Shields also helped with two scores in total.

Cypress Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Langham Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coming up, Cypress Park will face off against Cypress Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Langham Creek, they will take on Waller at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lobos will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
