Volleyball Game Preview: Saint Viator Lions vs. Warren Township Blue Devils

The Saint Viator Lions will square off against the Warren Township Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Warren Township took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Saint Viator, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Saint Viator earned a 2-0 victory over Nazareth Academy. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Roadrunners recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22.

Tommy Westerkamp was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 12 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Warren Township came up short against Libertyville on Wednesday and fell 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12.

Warren Township's loss dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Saint Viator, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-22.
