Volleyball Recap: Bradshaw Christian Takes a Loss

Bradshaw Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ben Holt College Prep Academy Bobcats. The Pride were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

Monica Buchanan paced Bradshaw Christian's offense, picking up 16 kills. Buchanan got some help from Caitlin Brannen and her 16 assists. Buchanan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Bradshaw Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Ben Holt College Prep Academy, their win bumped their record up to 24-6.

Coming up, Bradshaw Christian will host El Dorado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Pride have won three straight at home, while the Cougars won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Ben Holt College Prep Academy, they will square off against Turlock Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
