Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Notre Dame lost against Elkins back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fighting Irish came up short against the Tigers, falling 17-1. The Fighting Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Notre Dame saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominick Bombardiere, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Elkins, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17.

Notre Dame didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 win against Braxton County on the 7th. As for Elkins, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-1 defeat against Buckhannon-Upshur on the 5th.
