Basketball Game Preview: West Hancock Eagles vs. Eagle Grove Eagles

West Hancock is a perfect 10-0 against Eagle Grove since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. West Hancock will be playing in front of their home fans against Eagle Grove at 6:15 p.m. The timing is sure in West Hancock's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Eagle Grove has been banged up by 16 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, West Hancock ended up a good deal behind Lake Mills and lost 48-31. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Eagle Grove was beaten by Forest City 64-22 on Tuesday.

Eagle Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for West Hancock, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

West Hancock got the 'W' when the teams last played back in December of 2025 against Eagle Grove by a conclusive 52-28 score. Will West Hancock repeat their success, or does Eagle Grove has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
