Basketball Recap: Harrisburg Christian Comes Up Short

If Harrisburg Christian was feeling good fresh off their 58-36 takedown of New Covenant Christian two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Harrisburg Christian took a hard 57-40 fall against the Mount Calvary Christian Chargers on Friday. Harrisburg Christian was not able to make up for their defeat to Mount Calvary Christian from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Calvary Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josiah Masters, who posted 19 points. Trey Robinson was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Harrisburg Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Harrisburg Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Dayspring Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chester Charter Scholars Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chester Charter Scholars Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Mount Calvary Christian likes a good challenge.
