Basketball Game Preview: Springfield Yellow Jackets vs. Clarksville Wildcats

Springfield is 0-10 against Clarksville since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Springfield Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to square off against the Clarksville Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Springfield will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Northwest, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Springfield came out on top against Northwest by a score of 44-34 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Clarksville put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Kirkwood as Clarksville made off with a 59-39 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Clarksville pushed their record up to 17-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21.9 points. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Springfield might still be hurting after the 46-25 defeat they got from Clarksville in their previous meeting on January 14th. Can Springfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
