Mt. Whitney had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Tulare Union Tribe on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Tribe recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Mt. Whitney not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Tulare Union between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-16.

Coming up, Mt. Whitney will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Tulare Western at 6:30 p.m. As for Tulare Union, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Strathmore at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
