Football Game Preview: Tulare Union Tribe vs. Arroyo Grande Eagles + Official Tickets

The Tulare Union Tribe will square off against the Arroyo Grande Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tulare Union comes in on four and Arroyo Grande on six.

Tulare Union is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Kingsburg, posting a 56-21 victory. The Tribe might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Tulare Union got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Crisp out in front who threw for 262 yards and four TDs while completing 85% of his passes. The Tribe are undefeated when Crisp posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Demaje Riley was Crisp's top target, picking up 167 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Tulare Union, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Brayden Stevenson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Arroyo Grande was able to grind out a solid victory over Garces Memorial on Friday, taking the game 42-29. The Eagles pushed the score to 35-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams cut but never quite recovered from.

Arroyo Grande's win came from a few key players Tulare Union will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zack Tayman, who rushed for 181 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 99 yards. Another player making a difference was Caleb Clark, who rushed for 111 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries.

Tulare Union's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Arroyo Grande, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
