Baseball Recap: West Middlesex's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

West Middlesex extended their postseason success on Monday against Western Beaver. They walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Golden Beavers. Winning may never get old, but the Big Reds sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kyle Gilson was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Roman Golub, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Nolan Kayser, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

West Middlesex's record is now 16-5. As for Western Beaver, they dropped their record down to 14-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
