Softball Game Preview: Christian Liberty Chargers vs. Alden-Hebron Green Giants

Christian Liberty is 1-6 against Alden-Hebron since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Green Giants at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Christian Liberty can't be too happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Friday. They lost 13-3 to St. Edward. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Christian Liberty saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikayla Stack, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Sophia Randesi was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Alden-Hebron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Ashton-Franklin Center, falling 19-2.

Christian Liberty might still be hurting after the 27-12 loss they got from Alden-Hebron in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
