Softball Recap: Yorktown Wildcats vs. Woodsboro Eagles
After flying high against Pettus last Tuesday, Yorktown came back down to earth. The Yorktown Wildcats fell victim to a tough 11-1 defeat at the hands of the Woodsboro Eagles on Tuesday. Yorktown has not had much luck with Woodsboro recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Yorktown's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Woodsboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yorktown will take on Skidmore-Tynan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Yorktown is facing Skidmore-Tynan at the right time seeing as Skidmore-Tynan is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Woodsboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Refugio at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
