Basketball Recap: Southeast Career Tech Falls Despite Big Games from Marlie Wright and Mila Vidacic

After flying high against Pinecrest Academy Cadence on Friday, Southeast Career Tech came back down to earth. The Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners lost 57-36 to the Arbor View Aggies on Saturday.

Mila Vidacic and Marlie Wright certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Vidacic posted ten points, to go along with five boards and four steals, while Wright had four points. That's the most steals Vidacic has posted since back in December of 2023.

Arbor View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Annesia Jackson led the charge by going 8 of 15 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Araya Davis, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 10 points, to go along with six boards and four steals.

Southeast Career Tech now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Arbor View, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Southeast Career Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-17 win against Chaparral on the 30th.
