Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kearney Catholic). They took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 66-35 win over the Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays. The Stars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bluejays, too.

Kearney Catholic found their leader in sophomore Danielle Seim, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Kendyl O'Hare was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Kearney Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ashland-Greenwood only posted eight assists.

Ashland-Greenwood lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaycee Downing, who scored 11 points along with six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lainey Barent, who put up nine points.

Kearney Catholic now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Ashland-Greenwood, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Kearney Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-37 defeat against Gothenburg on the 14th. As for Ashland-Greenwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-32 victory against Falls City on the 17th.
