Recap: Northside Methodist Academy Knights vs. New Brockton Gamecocks
The Northside Methodist Academy Knights were the 45-44 winner over the New Brockton Gamecocks when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Northside Methodist Academy fell 44-37 to New Brockton on Friday.
New Brockton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reese Eddins, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Smith, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Northside Methodist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for New Brockton, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Northside Methodist Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Slocomb at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Slocomb has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14. As for New Brockton, they will head out on the road to square off against Zion Chapel at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Zion Chapel comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
