Recap: Harding University Rams vs. Chambers Cougars
This season hasn't been kind to the Harding University Rams, who are still winless after their sixth game. They were dealt a 71-20 loss at the hands of Chambers on Friday. Harding University lost against Chambers in their previous head to head back in December of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 74-28 score last time.
Chambers got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Simpson out in front who scored 18 points. The match was Simpson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade? Kerr, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Harding University's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Chambers, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Harding University will stay at home for another game and welcome Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. Chambers' road trip will continue as they head out to face Rabun County at 7:45 p.m. on December 20th. One thing working in Rabun County's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
