Softball Recap: Hazleton Area Cougars vs. Berwick Bulldogs
Hazleton Area won the last time they faced Berwick, and things went their way on Friday too. The Hazleton Area Cougars skirted past the Berwick Bulldogs 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hazleton Area.
Isabella Almeida spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on 12 hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olivia Williams, who went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Kayla Lagowy was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
