Softball Game Preview: Exeter Township Eagles vs. Spring-Ford Rams

The Exeter Township Eagles will take on the Spring-Ford Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Exeter Township's offense. They fell just short of Manheim Township by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Mackenzie O'Brien spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Even though they lost, Exeter Township hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manheim Township struck out six times.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Spring-Ford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Warwick on Friday by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Exeter Township now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Spring-Ford, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
