Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Beavers vs. University School Preppers

The Riverside Beavers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the University School Preppers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Riverside took their contest with ease, bagging an 85-57 win over North. Given the Beavers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Rangers are ranked 555th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for University School, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 63-52 victory over Dover on Friday.

The win made it two in a row for Riverside and bumps their season record up to 13-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points over those games. As for University School, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Riverside barely slipped by University School in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 87-86. Will Riverside repeat their success, or does University School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
